For an FMCG company in the Randstad I am looking for an Interim Buyer European Transportation. Are you an experienced transport procurement professional? Do you have extensive experience in negotiation and strategic sourcing? Do you have experience in European tenders for bulk transport? The main tasks and responsibilities of the Interim Buyer European Transportation include:

  • Develop and implement best-in-class strategies for the European transportation network
  • Support operational teams in defining the tenders
  • Negotiate existing and new transport contracts
  • Manage commercial relationships with existing and new suppliers
  • Investigate the market trends and offerings and implement specific supplier relationship management strategies tailored to the business needs
  • Drive complexity reduction projects (e.g. harmonisation of network, specifications, and suppliers)
  • Support logistics and manufacturing network rationalisation projects
  • Support in delivering cash and savings programs across the logistics activities

Skills and expertise:

  • Higher professional education / university degree
  • Extensive experience in negotiation and strategic sourcing
  • Fluent in English and willing to work in an international environment
  • Exemplify a high degree of personal integrity
  • Enjoy working in a virtual and multicultural working environment
